Rosanna Davison attacked by cheesed off farmers for telling Ireland to scrap dairy from diets

Model Rosanna Davison has been accused of being “scientifically illiterate” – after urging people to eliminate dairy from their diet.

The former Miss World has been told she is “spoofing” and guilty of “quackery” by the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association.

They were furious after the 30-year-old – who is one of the country’s most high-profile vegans – said “your body thanks you in so many ways for treating it kindly” after getting rid of dairy products.

President John Comer said: “Rosanna Davison is a very high profile model who is justly famed for her beauty and poise.

“But I have to ask why she seems fixated on continually undermining the image and reality of dairy and meat as excellent and healthy foods?

“This is not a harmless exercise on her part and it’s most certainly not consequence-free for Irish farming.

“ICMSA represents Ireland’s dairy farmers, the jewel in the crown of Irish farming, and we’re obliged to challenge Rosanna when she comes out with this type of spoofing”.

Previously Rosanna has hit back at the farmers group, claiming they were just trying to boost sales.

She said: “The difference between me and the ICMSA is that I am not trying to sell anything.”
