Daithi O’Se has revealed that he has been “very lucky” with baby son Michael Og’s behavour – much to the jealousy of other parents.
The RTE star welcomed his son to the world on St Patrick’s Day last year and revealed people don’t like hearing how well behaved Michael is.
He said: “You can’t tell people that you’re child sleeps well and doesn’t have acid reflux because people will hate you and they wont believe you.”
He added: “We’re very very lucky, he’s been very quiet since we came home.”

Daithi, who is married to former Rose Rita Talty, also admitted he thinks Irish peoples attitude towards babies is a little too pessimistic.
He said: “Here in Ireland, there’s always a kick in the teeth. The baby is great, ‘Oh, wait till he starts teething’, the baby is great, ‘Oh wait till he turns 2.'”
The Today Show presenter also revealed he is already back to work with The Rose of Tralee as the regional competitions are due to start soon.
“We launched it there last week with Maria, she’s been an amazing embassador so far. It all kicks off now” he told 2FM.

“People think everyone just lands on stage in August but lots of work happens, you’ve a lot of regional stuff happening in the next couple of months.”
