Today is Niall Horan’s 23rd birthday – so in honour of this, we’re celebrating his best moments.
The One Direction star had humble beginnings jumping around on the X Factor stage, and was even compared as the Irish Justin Bieber.
Now, the Mullingar man has a successful music career behind him as well as a successful golf management company.
We look back on some of his best moments in the last few years…
1. His First Audition
Niall first came into our lives when he auditioned for the X Factor.
He came on stage to a crowd of screaming girls and his confidence won over the judges – even if his singing wasn’t the best.
This was just the start of the charming chaps booming career.
2. Oops.. My House Is HauntedÂ
Niall splashed out a massive £3 million on his new L.A. home – but all is not what is seems.
The Mullingar man’s new pad is reportedly haunted by Hollywood star Gia Scala.
A former owner of the house even admitted that they believed the house to be extremely haunted – spooky!
3. Soccer Aid
Probably one of Niall’s finest achievements to date was doing Soccer Aid – because he’s such a huge football fan.
The singer was also joined by his fellow 1D bandmate Louis Tomlinson, as well as fellow Irish man Nicky Byrne!
What an amazing experience!
4. Launched His Own Golf Management Company
One Direction has had one of the longest extended hiatus’ ever – but Niall is keeping himself busy.
The singer is a huge fan of golf having caddied for Rory McIlroy at the Masters in 2015.
Niall teamed up with the band’s management, Modest Management, and created Modest Golf Management.
Since it’s start, Modest has grown rapidly and partnered with the Northern Irish Open this year.
5. Bromances
Who does Niall not have a bromance with?
Of course he’s great pals with his One Direction boys but he’s also extremely pally with golfer Rory McIlroy and 2FM DJ Eoghan McDermott.
The star is also a big fan of MMA star Conor McGregor – could these two be the next big bromance?
6. The Cutest Interview Ever
Niall has done a mountain of interviews since he first appeared on our screens – but one interview is cuter than the rest.
The 23-year-old sat down with a kid called Billy who asked him some adorable questions including “what do you want to be when you grow up?”
The star got a bit confused when Billy asked him “how many birdies do you get a week?”

One Direction fans are pretty powerful – we all know that.
So when they get a hashtag trending, it’s sure to be a big one.
One of the most hilarious hashtags they made up was #OhNoNiall – a hashtag created from Niall’s little slip ups and unfortunate happenings.
When #OhNoNiall does get trending – it’s normally for hilarious reasons like when he falls over or gets a bad photo taken but things got a bit more serious when Niall’s rumoured girlfriend reportedly cheated on him.
8. When The 1D Boys First Sang Together
Before they were the sensation they are now, One Direction all came as single auditionees.
It was at the X Factor’s bootcamp in 2010 that the boys first performed together singing Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn.
Liam and Harry took the lead as Niall, Louis and Zayn harmonised beautifully – their moments were yet to come.
9. Performing at Croke Park
One of the most outstanding moments for our Irish lad was when One Direction performed in Croke Park.
The band took the stage over three sold out nights in the GAA stadium and made €15 MILLION from their Dublin gig.
What a proud moment – we think the picture says it all!
10. He Insists Ireland Is The Best Country In The World
Every Irish person has a great sense of pride for Ireland – and Niall is no different.
His bandmates Harry was sure to kick that idea to the curb though.
In their documentary film This Is Us, the Mullingar man gushed about his country calling it the “best country in the world” – but Harry quickly told him that it was “absolutely not” – how rude!
11. THOSEÂ Selena Gomez Dating Rumours
To fully become the Irish Justin Bieber, tabloids decided that he should be dating Selena Gomez.
Their relationship was never confirmed but the pair were papped holding hands in public and caught getting cosy at the X Factor wrap party in 2015.
The Texan fuelled rumours even more when she posted a snap on her Facebook saying she had “a thing for Mullingar guys”.

We all know that some Irish names are hard to spell – but is Niall really that hard?
The X Factor production team made a bit of a blunder when the 23-year-old’s name tag dubbed him as “Naill.”
The mistake made for some great memes though!
13. When He Impersonated Miley Cyrus

The Mullingar man did his best Miley impression when he threw on a pair of leggings with the Tennessee native’s face all over them.
He fully channelled the Wrecking Ball singer by sticking out his tongue and posing in some, rather tight, pants.
Miley never replied to his tweet – so it’s safe to assume he got to keep the awesome pants.
14. That Time He Fell On LIVE TV
Niall is known for falling over a lot – and we mean a lot.
But his best fall was recorded on live TV when he was caddying for Rory McIlroy.
The singer slowly dropped down as his golfer friend just laughed in his face. #OhNoNiall
15. When Liam And Louis Hilariously Pranked Niall
It’s clear to even those who vaguely know Niall that he gets bullied quite a bit by his One Direction friends.
One of the most epic pranks that Louis and Liam ever pulled on the 23-year-old has to be when they covered his car in toilet paper along with a well placed bin and teddy bear.
And of course, Liam captioned the photo “Oh no Niall!” – and it’s gained over one million likes.

Fans rejoiced when Niall announced on his Twitter that he had joined the masses on Snapchat.
The Mullingar man shared a few snaps from his nights out and daily life on it but he also revealed he had been in hospital on it.
Hopefully the singer gets well soon and we can see some more gas snaps!
17. He Bagged A Solo Deal
While One Direction are still on ‘hiatus’ (ahem..) – Niall has landed himself a MAJOR solo deal.
The singer has agreed to a deal with Universal, which is sure to rile his former mentor Simon Cowell.
The music mogul has since admitted that he’s ‘upset’ with the singer over his decision – ouch!
18. When Niall Gloriously Shut Down A Reporter
Niall is known for being a light-hearted lad, but he doesn’t take sh*t from nobody.
AÂ BBC reporter slammed the singer at this year’s Royal Ascot, saying he “didn’t know who he was” – and Niall fired back in the best way ever.
“What are you on about mate? I was having a day out with my family who also enjoy horse racing big time. I’m not there to stand infront of cameras and do shit interviews for you…,” Niall wrote.

20. The Relief When He Didn’t Have To Get A Tattoo On TV
Who can forget when the One Direction played Tattoo Roulette on The Late Late Show with James Corden?
The fear in Niall’s eyes couldn’t have been funnier as he’s the only un-tatted member of 1D – so naturally he was bricking it.
Thankfully, his good ‘ole pal Harry Styles ended up in the hot seat, and Niall was left in the clear – phew!
21. This Fan Photo
At this stage I think we all know Niall isn’t the most graceful individual – but this is just the funniest image of all time.
While his 1D bandmates a posing pretty normally, all you can see is Niall mid fall, and we think it perfectly describes him as an individual.
22. The Greatest Carpool Karaoke EVER
Arguably the BEST Carpool Karaoke of all time – we could not get enough of Niall in this episode.
Singing along to 1D’s greatest hits, and having some major LOLs with James Corden.. what’s not to love?!
23. When The 1D Boys Sang To Niall On Stage
No birthday is complete without being sung the birthday song!
When Niall turned 22, Harry, Liam and Louis took a moment out of one of their gigs to wish their friend a happy birthday.
His bandmates sang beautifully as the blonde lad shuffled his feet on stage and became a little bashful before the boys engulfed him a group hug.
