Niall Horan teamed up with his ‘all time hero’ Paul O’Connell for the 2016 Ryder Cup Celebrity Match.
The 1D star joined the Irish rugby star to represent Team Europe in the Celebrity Scramble – and went head-to-head against Bill Murray and Huey Lewis, who were representing Team USA.
As celebrity guests for the 41st Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club – the lads looked like they had a blast, as seen on Niall’s Snapchat story.
Taking to Instagram, Niall gushed about the “incredible day” – and shared a snap of himself, Paulie, Bill and Huey.
“What an incredible day.. Got to represent the Irish portion with one of my all time heroes in Paul O’Connell and play infront of a huge crowd for the celeb match against Huey Lewis and the funniest man I’ve ever met Bill Murray,” he wrote.
“It was laughs from start to finish.. didn’t personally play as well as I can play but we did the job and halved our game..
“Being around that course and seeing the atmosphere and the masses of people watching makes me so excited to be here and I cannot wait for Friday when it all kicks off and gets going.. C’mon Europe,” he added.
