Alan Hughes has revealed that he’s in talks with Mrs Brown’s Boys star Rory Cowan and TV3 about hosting their own show.
The news of their new show comes as many changes are expected for TV3, after Virgin Media recently bought UTV Ireland.
“We’re actually in talks to do a show. It will be really cool.
“It will be out and about with myself and Rory,” Alan told the Herald.

The presenter also admitted that he thinks TV3 could give RTÉ a run for its money, now that Virgin Media has brought UTV Ireland on board.
“Definitely we could give them a run for their money without a shadow of a doubt.
“If you have all those programmes at your disposal, I think they’re on to a winner.
“I can definitely see them beating some RTE One shows in the ratings, definitely. We’ve always done our own thing,” he said.

Alan said TV3 employees are really excited about the news, but also admitted that some major decisions are yet to be made.
“Everyone is really excited. It’s going brilliant. It’s very exciting. I thought it was good as it was but now we’re going to have three channels.
“We had a big meeting last week and Pat Kiely was telling us all about it.
“I don’t know if any of that has been decided yet [the moving of shows], but it looks like TV3 is now the owner of three stations. It’s amazing.
“If we own all the stuff that ITV has, we own ITV programmes so you can say, ‘I’ll put that on TV3, I’ll put that one on 3e’,” he explained.
