Miriam O’Callaghan has admitted she never even considered changing her maiden name after marraige.
The Prime Time host said she completely understands women’s choice to change their name but its never even crossed her mind.
The RTE star explained that it just wasn’t for her and O’Callaghan is a solid Irish name.

“Funny enough, all my sisters are the same. It wasn’t as if my mother was a mad feminist or anything,” she said.
“She was a school principal, but she changed her name when she got married.”
“I’m very much a believer in doing what’s right for you,” she told Women’s Way Magazine
It comes after Miriam previously revealed her 8 children are the driving force behind her career.
