Maura Higgins has opened up about spending lockdown with her boyfriend Chris Taylor.
The Longford native and her beau have been spending lockdown together in Chris’ Essex home, after confirming their romance in November.
The Love Island star appeared on Ireland AM this morning, where she spoke with Alan Hughes about her new romance.
The 30-year-old said: “We’re spending lockdown together, we’re cooking together, we have such a laugh.”
“We’ve always got on, and I think the best foundation for a relationship is a good friendship.”
Maura revealed her boyfriend has been getting to know her mother through FaceTime calls, adding: “He actually calls her Mammy!
“They get on very, very well and they have a good laugh together.”

The reality star revealed she was trying to teach Chris the Irish language, explaining: “I try but it’s not going too well.
“He thinks he’s very good at the Irish accent, but I beg to differ,” she added.
The news comes after Maura shared her plans to marry Chris, telling The Sun On Sunday: “We’re very much in love and we use the L-word a lot. I look into the future and see myself with a family.
“I want to be married before I have a baby, so Chris better hurry up and give me that engagement ring, because I’m not getting any younger.”
