Laura Whitmore pays tribute to Caroline Flack two years after her tragic death: ‘This day is hard’

Laura Whitmore has paid tribute to the late Caroline Flack, two years after her tragic death.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning, the Irish presenter shared a clip of her and Caroline joking about a made up show called ‘Cougar Mountain’.

The Bray native captioned the post: “This is how I like to think of Flack. Happy and not taking herself too seriously. We hung out a lot that year and I look back at it with such fun memories.”

“This day is hard and a reminder that no one knows anyone else’s demons but today I like to think of all the good memories too. Cougar Mountain what a show that would have been ❤️” the Love Island host added.

Laura’s husband Iain also took to Instagram today to pay tribute to his late pal and former Love Island co-star on the second anniversary of her death.

Alongside a photo of him and Caroline, the Scottish comedian wrote: “2 years ago today. Miss you Caz x”

Caroline was found dead at her home in London on February 15, 2020 at the age of 40.

The beloved Love Island host tragically took her own life just hours after she was told she would face trial for the alleged assault of her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton – despite the fact that he didn’t want to press charges.

Following her death, the presenter’s management slammed the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for pursuing the “show trial”, knowing how vulnerable she was.

After Caroline’s death, her family released an unpublished Instagram post the presenter wanted to share before the died.

In the heartfelt statement, the TV star denied being a “domestic abuser”, and said the incident between her and Lewis was simply an “accident”.
