Johnny McDaid has insisted he doesn’t need to get married to know he’s going to spend the rest of his life with Courteney Cox.
The loved-up pair have enjoyed a whirlwind romance and have already been rumoured to have secretly tied the knot – but the Snow Patrol star revealed marriage is “academic”.
“I just want to be with this woman for the rest of my life. That is all that matters. We’ll get there. The ceremonies are academic,” he said.

Courteney admitted she knew the Irish rocker was the one as soon as she got to know him.
“He’s a very sensitive soul. When I knew that this was just who he is, that he was just a beautiful, sensitive, loving person with a wonderful family, with a beautiful set of friends.”
“Then I was like, ‘This is for real!'” she told People Magazine.

While the Hollywood couple may claim they are in no rush to walk down the aisle, Courteney’s 10-year-old daughter Coco has other ideas.
“Coco is very excited about the wedding. Â I was going to hire a wedding planner, but apparently she wants to do it,” she told The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“She wants to be the maid of honour which I think is weird. She wants to be the flower girl, all the bridesmaids, she’s very excited about it.”
