International star spotted singing tunes in Donegal pub

Sam Smith was spotted belting out a few tunes in a Donegal pub over the weekend.

It is believed that the singer flew into Ireland to record the material at Villagers musician Tommy McLaughlin’s Attica Audio studio in Termon.

The superstar also went for a couple of quiet drinks at McCafferty’s Bar at Mountain Top in Letterkenny.

The owner of the pub, Mark McCafferty, is a huge fan of the star and said his “jaw nearly hit the floor” when Sam walked in.

Mark told The Irish Sun that the Brit was “an absolute gentleman,” and that he “sang a few tunes later on too.”

The pub owner also said, “Bit cheeky of me to ask for a picture but he actually took it for me. Unreal.”

The Stay With Me singer also dropped into a number of local restaurants to sample the local food, including the popular Lemon Tree in Letterkenny.

There he told chef Christopher Molloy he had been enjoying the sights of the Wild Atlantic Way, including the iconic Fanad Lighthouse.
