Fionnuala Jay has raised an incredible amount of money for the Afghan crisis.
The Taliban have taken control of Afghanistan, which has resulted in over half a million Afghan families fleeing the country and seeking refuge.
Irish social media star Fionnuala, who is best known for her hilarious Love Island commentary, started a fundraiser to help aid the crisis.
Over €22,000 has been raised so far, and the fundraiser will stay open until Sunday, August 29.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night as the fundraiser stood at €22,967.61, Fionnuala wrote: “Last time checking before Sunday. Link is in bio in the meantime. Thank you so much again.”
Irish influencer Louise Cooney praised the podcaster for her efforts, writing on her stories: “Shoutout to the hilarious @fionnulajay who turned her Love Island commentary into something so beneficial. Huge money for the Afghan crisis.. what a woman.”
