During her time on Dancing With The Stars we saw Erin McGregor grow in confidence both on and off the dance floor.
She survived until the semi finals and was eliminated tonight when judges Lorraine and Julian chose to bring Jake Carter through to the grand finale.
‘I gave it my best shot and I had a great time out there! It was great fun and Ryan was such a brilliant teacher you know.’
‘It’s been a huge, huge, change for me.’
‘I mean from the girl who didn’t believe in herself to the girl who loved getting out on the dance floor.’
You wouldn’t know watching her dancing but Erin picked up a gastro bug that her son had and spent the last two days on a drip before the semi finals.
‘Big thanks out to Our Ladies Childrens Hospital who looked after him this week… This morning I thought ‘Oh my God I can’t do it!”
But Deirdre O’Kane counselled her through it saying that ‘When the adrenaline kicks in you’ll be ok,’ and she was right.
Regarding what’s next for Erin 2.0 the sky’s the limit.
‘I didn’t think that I would get to the semi finals in this competition. I didn’t even think at one stage I was going to sign the contract.’
‘I just hope I don’t go back in the house coat and forget to come out of it… That’s probably one of the little fears that’s in me.’
‘Who knows? Who knows what’s next? … Maybe a sleep!’
She’d definitely earned it! Erin will be back next week to perform in the group dance.
Having seen Erin present an award with poise and confidence at the Gossies, we don’t think this is the last we’ll be seeing of her.
She told us before that acting was something she might fancy a shot at after Dancing With The Stars.
