Ciarán Hinds spoke to Goss.ie about what it was like to work with Hollywood A-lister Miles Teller.
The Irish actor starred in Bleed For This with Miles, where he played his father.
When asked what it was like to work with the American actor, Ciarán said, “He’s phenomenal. He is really, really phenomenal.
“He ended up training [for the film] for six months to portray a boxer. If you saw him floating around the ring, they said he could’ve taken most of them on. In the actual film he was boxing with professional people.”
The Belfast native continued, “Of course you choreograph it, but he was more than holding his own. The way he moved, the way he threw punches. He’s a very, I won’t use the word sweet because that’s patronising, he’s very open. A very warm, talented actor.”
Bleed for This is a biographical sports film written and directed by Ben Younger and based on the life of former world champion boxer Vinny Pazienza.
Miles plays the role of Vinny, and Ciarán plays his father.
