Conor McGregor snubs MAJOR offer from WWE

Conor McGregor has passed on a major offer to appear at this year’s Wrestlemania.

According to the Irish Sun, WWE bosses were hoping to nab Conor as their main target for the huge professional wrestling pay-per-view event in April, and told the Dubliner’s people to, “Name your price”.

However, the 28-year-old turned down their mega bucks offer, as he’s currently taking a small career break, as his girlfriend Dee Devlin is expecting their first child.

“WWE has made no secret of its desire to do something with Conor McGregor and there were talks between the two parties about this year,” said a source.

“Because he’s taking time off from the UFC, there was a talk about doing something at this year’s Wrestlemania in April, but it wasn’t to be despite a hefty offer.”

A spokesperson for WWE declined to comment on the claims last night.

Stars including Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey have all been a part of Wrestlemania in the past.

Paul Michael Levesque, better known by his ring name Triple H, is in charge of talent at WWE, and previously admitted that he would love to sign Conor.

“He could come over, he’s got it all, man. He’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer,” he said.
