Colin Farrell has revealed that he wants to “step away” from acting – but not forever.

The Irish actor has had a busy year, having shot three films back to back – including his most recent project, The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

And now, the Dubliner has admitted that he’s ready to take some time off, so that he can “live a little”.

“I’m so ready not to talk about films, to not see a camera, to not have any idea that things such as fame and acting exist,” he told the Irish Times’ Ticket magazine.

“I am so ready to get the f*** away. I have absolute gratitude for what I do for a living. I love it. But I want to step away and live a little.”

When asked if he lives a “celebrity lifestyle”, Colin said, “I don’t feel like I do. If I do, somebody tell me how.”

“What is a celeb lifestyle? Out and about going to clubs? All that kind of jazz? I certainly did when I was in my 20s. We all know that.”

“But now I love my work. More than I ever did. And I have done three films in a row. Never done that before.”
