A Book of Condolences has opened for the late broadcaster, Gay Byrne.
The beloved presenter died peacefully at his home yesterday after a long illness.
Tributes from Irish stars have been pouring in since the news broke yesterday afternoon.
The book of condolences has opened for mourners at Mansion House in Dublin’s City Centre.
It opened this morning at 10 am, and will remain open until 5 pm this evening.
Mansion House will open its doors once again tomorrow from 10 am to 5 pm for members of the public who wish to pay their respects.

During his long broadcasting career, Gay was at the forefront of breaking pop-culture news.
In 1962 he became the first person to introduce The Beatles on Television when they appeared on his show People and Places in the UK.
In 1993, on The Late Late Show, he famously presented Boyzone to the Irish public for the first time.
Tonight, a tribute episode of the Late Late Show will air in honor of the broadcaster.
