Ben Foden admits he’ll ‘always love’ ex-wife Una Healy: ‘I never meant to hurt her’

The rugby star has revealed that his life is a "mess"

Ben Foden has admitted that he’ll “always love” his ex-wife Una Healy, after he finally admitted to cheating on her earlier this year.

Last night, the sports star appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins for Stand Up To Cancer, and Ben opened up about life since splitting from Una.

Ben confessed: “My life’s a bit of a mess. It’s been difficult over the last couple of months, for sure. There’s loads of elements to a marriage and there’s loads of reasons why it didn’t work.”

“I’ll always love Una. She’s my first love and the mother of my kids. I never meant to hurt her in the way I did.”

The couple announced their split last July, amid reports that Ben was unfaithful during Una’s second pregnancy.

However, it wasn’t until February that Ben finally admitted to cheating during an interview with The Guardian.

At the time, Ben said: “At the moment anything that’s published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery.”

“At the same time, it wasn’t the only reason for our divorce to go through. It’s not ideal, but we’re very amicable, we’re getting through it, we’re not the first people in the world to get divorced. We’ve got two little kids we adore.”

Since their split, Una has moved on with former Limerick hurler David Breen.

Meanwhile, it’s believed Ben is now dating Irish woman Miriam Murphy.
