Axed Aisling O’Loughlin ‘still in talks’ with TV3

Aisling O’Loughlin has revealed that she’s “still in talks” with TV3, after she was axed from Xposé whilst on maternity leave.

The blonde, who worked on the entertainment show for 10 years, was cut from the show alongside Lisa Cannon and Peter O’Riordan.

It was reported last week that the 38-year-old was pursuing legal action, however, Aisling has now admitted that she’s still in talks with the station regarding her future with TV3.

“At the minute I can’t comment, because we’re still talking,” she told Independent.ie.

“There’s only so much I can say really. Usually I would have something to say, but because we’re still in talks that’s all I can say.”

After Aisling comments, a spokesperson for TV3 commented, “All matters relating to TV3 personnel (past and present) are private and confidential.”

Speaking about her future, the mother-of-three admitted that she might consider returning to the airwaves – as she’s previously worked with the likes of TodayFM and Newstalk.

“I like radio. It’s very different to TV in the sense that you can have proper, deeper conversations. I think you can get further, whereas with TV there’s always a limit of maybe two minutes max.”

Change: Aisling might consider a move back to radio | VIPIRELAND.COM

“There’s only so much bullet points you can get in. In radio you can go deep and you can meander and maybe go somewhere that you hadn’t planned to go. It’s a very natural medium, it’s like your pal.”

In the meantime, Aisling is making the most of her time with her children, Patrick (5), Louis (2) and baby Joseph (5 months).

“I’m going to really make the most of my mammy duties. I’m enjoying it, but at the same time it’s good to really see how much work mothers have and to really appreciate mothers. I think they’re brilliant.

“And I’m not just talking about myself, but looking outward, like when I’m at the school gate. I see all of those Trojan mums, and it’s generally mums. There’s a few brilliant dads in there too,  but I see all the Trojans and they’re just going for it,” she added.
