Newlywed Angela Scanlon has revealed her marriage couldn’t be better – thanks to lots of solo travel.
The RTE presenter has been jetting around the world filming travel show Getaways, and feels it has improved her married life.
She said: “I was speaking to someone who said the key to a lasting marriage is lots of travel – separately.”
She added: “It’s very over and back at the minute, we get a week together and then I’m off again but it works.”

The 29-year-old wed Roy Horgan in June – but was forced to jet back from Morocco early for TV work.
But Angela – who told the Herald she’s “getting to have a ridiculous amount of fun” – knows that won’t be forever.
And the Meath presenter insisted that she does want to eventually start a family.

“I 100% want children down the line. I’d love to have kids but for the minute I have him babysitting my niece and that’s about it,” she said.
“It’s been on the tip of everyone’s tongue since we got married.”
