Maria Walsh has opened up about her love life, revealing that she is single and focusing on her career.
The former Rose of Tralee, who was the first ever Rose to be openly gay, revealed that she’s far too busy for love and that she’s enjoying “having the craic” on her own.
“I’m as single as it comes, I’m focusing on work – but I promise you I will let you all know when and if I bag a lucky person,” she told Goss.ie.

“You’re on a crazy schedule for the past two years and you know you’re accountable for a lot of things, so its nice to just have the craic on your own for a while.”
Speaking about the recent rumours surrounding her relationship with producer Shauna Keogh, she insisted again that the pair are just friends and that the observation was pretty funny.
“I mean it was an interesting observation, we’re great friends and we hang out all the time… we’re always grabbing dinner and seeing movies,” she revealed to Goss.ie.

“You know we’re hanging out and she’s in the industry and so am I so its nice and we work so well together.
“It’s funny more so than annoying, it’s just funny that two gay women can’t even be standing beside each other without people putting us into a relationship.
“She said herself that she wouldn’t be a bad person to date – but we’re both just pals,” she added.
