Amy Huberman opens up on moving stateside: 'I would happily move there'

Amy Huberman has opened up on moving to the US for work, and admitted that she would “happily live there”.

The mum-of-two and wife of former rugby star Brian O’Driscoll revealed that if the right role came along, she would definitely take the chance at moving stateside with her family.

“We were tied to here and we both get excited about the idea of living somewhere else for a little while, if it came up,” she said.

“I would happily live there for a little bit. I don’t think I would move just to be there and see what would happen.

“I think I’d have to go there for a gig. I would definitely go out there and spend some time there if the right thing came up,” she told the Herald.

The actress and author recently returned from a two week stint in LA for pilot season, and admitted that she “really enjoyed” it this year as she was well-rested, in comparison to previous years.

“I’ve been over a few times and, depending on your head space, it can be a full-on place. But I really enjoyed it,” she explained.

“It was, again, because I slept more this year. I went over really looking forward to it and joining the race over there.

“LA’s great, it’s sunny every day, there’s great food. You’re doing what you love to do. I’ve got great representation over there and they put me in for cool stuff,” she admitted.

“I was over there with my brother, I was living with him and it was nice for the company. There was a great crew of Irish people there this year.”
