Princess Beatrice expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice is expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Windsor on July 17 last year, with just 20 guests in attendance.

Their pregnancy news was shared via The Royal Family’s official Twitter account this morning.

The statement read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.”

“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

The couple got engaged in September 2019, and were set to wed at St James’s Palace in London in May 2020, but their plans were scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Beatrice and Edoardo instead wed in an intimate ceremony in July, with family including including the Queen and Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew attending their special day.

Edoardo’s 4-year-old son Wolfie, who he shares with ex-fiancée Dara Huang, acted as his Paige Boy and Best Man, and Beatrice’s sister Eugenie acted as Maid of Honour.
