Prince William receives his first COVID-19 vaccine

Prince William has received his first COVID-19 vaccine.

The Duke of Cambridge took to Twitter on Thursday morning to share the news, posting a photo of himself receiving the jab.

He wrote: “On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To all those working on the vaccine rollout – thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do.”

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla received their first jabs in February, almost one year after Charles contracted the coronavirus.

Queen Elizabeth and her late husband Prince Phillip received their jabs in January, which were administered by a household doctor at Windsor Castle.

Philip died at the age of 99 on April 9, with his death certificate revealing he died of “old age”.
