Taylor Swift has finally released the re-recorded version of her beloved 1989 album.
The songstress has been re-recording all of her previous albums over the past few years, following the controversial sale of her back catalogue.
On Friday, the 33-year-old debuted the new version of her fifth studio album, which was originally released in 2014.
The new album includes five never-before-heard tracks from her “vault” of unreleased songs.
In one of the tracks, called ‘Is It Over Now’, Taylor brands one of her former flames a “lying traitor” for moving on with a number of “models”.
Taylor sings: “You dream of my mouth before it called you a lying traitor. You search in every model’s bed for something greater.”
She continues: “Your new girl is my clone. And did you think I didn’t see you? There were flashing lights.
“At least I had the decency to keep my nights out of sight, only rumours ’bout my hips and thighs, and my whispered sighs, oh Lord.”
Taylor famously dated Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, son of independent candidate for the 2024 US presidential election Robert F. Kennedy Jr., when she was writing songs for 1989.
Many fans believe both men inspired songs on the record, and its long been rumoured that ‘Style’ was penned about her romance with former 1D star Harry.
When she announced 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on social media in August, the singer said: “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways.
“This is my most favourite re-record I’ve ever done because the From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long.”
Taylor’s new album release comes amid her new romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, which has been dominating headlines in recent weeks.
