Ronan Keating would have turned down his West End role if his girlfriend Storm didn’t convince him he could do it.
The Boyzone star has received rave reviews since taking to the stage as the lead in Once on the London stage.
But Ronan, who has taken on the role played by Glen Hansard in the Oscar-winning film, says he would have passed if it wasn’t for his Australian love.
He said: “Storm made me believe I could do it. It took Storm to tell me I am capable of doing this, someone like Storm to believe in me and push me forward.”

And the 37-year-old said Once has been the biggest challenge of his career to date because he has been left with “nowhere to hide”.
He added: “As a pop star you can hide behind your band. Not that I ever mimed, but you still have layered vocals.
“So you have a place to hide most of the time. On this stage there is nowhere to hide.”
