X Factor star Mary Byrne has admitted she wishes she still works in Tesco – because showbiz is so lonely.
The Dublin star – who was a finalist in 2010 – said she’s been shocked by the lack of “camaraderie” in the music industry.
She said: “I work mainly at nights and there are times, especially during the day that I really miss being on the tills.

“I miss the camaraderie and the friends and chatting to the customers and the craic we used to have.”
And Mary, 54, admits it can be “scary” how quickly people forget your name.
“I make a living, not a big living, but a good living,” she told the Star. “But it is hard and it’s very scary sometimes.
“You’re on your own so it’s frightening but you have to keep going out there and pushing yourself.”
