Liam Neeson reveals mum-in-law Vanessa Redgrave helps him raise kids after wife's death

Liam Neeson has revealed his mum-in-law has moved in to mind his kinds – to allow him to take on movie roles.

The Oscar winner said Vanessa Redgrave has stuck by him following the  tragic death of his wife Natasha Richardson in 2009 in a skiing accident.

Since the horrific accident, the Take actor has raised sons Michael, 17, and 19-year-old Daniel alone.

But the 62-year-old said Vanessa will always move in if he has to work on a major project.

He said: “I have a great support team and if I’m away on a project, my mother-in-law moves in.”

He added that being a single dad and a Hollywood star “is always a balance”.

But Liam said that Vanessa, 77, has helped make sure they have good upbringings.

“One of them was born on location, so they’re used to dad being away for long periods,” he said.

“So far, it’s worked out okay … they’re not damaged.”

The Northern Irish star is expected to be starring in the 2016 Power Rangers reboot alongside fellow Irish actor Jack Gleeson.
