Jamie Dornan lands first lead role since Fifty Shades – and it's filming in Ireland

Irish hunk Jamie Dornan has been cast in his first leading role since Fifty Shades Of Grey and this time he’s playing a soldier.

The Fall star has been cast as the lead in The Siege of Jadotville, which will shoot in the spring of 2015 in Ireland and South Africa.

Model turned Actor Jamie has said he can’t wait to play a war hero:

“I can’t wait to get stuck into Jadotville. It’s an unbelievable story and Commandant Pat Quinlan is going to be a treat of a character to tackle.”

Mr Grey: Fifty Shades will hit cinemas on Valentines Day 2015

The Siege of Jadotville is being described as an “action thriller which centres around the siege of 150 UN Irish troops led by Commandant Pat Quinlan in the Congo in 1961”

“What happened next was a scene of extraordinary bravery and saw Quinlan and his troops hold out against a force of 3000 local troops led by French and Belgian Mercenaries.”

Jamie will play Commandant Pat Quinlan, the Irishman who led the UN battalion.
