The wife of SpongeBob voice actor Tom Kenny has clarified that her husband is NOT dating Ariana Grande, after fans mixed him up with Ethan Slater.
According to TMZ, Ariana recently struck up a romance with her Wicked co-star Ethan – who landed a Tony Award nomination for his role in the stage production of SpongeBob Squarepants.
However, some fans got confused and thought the singer was dating Tom – the actor who voices the popular cartoon.
Tom’s wife Jill has since set the record straight, writing on social media: “Hi everyone, I’m married to Tom Kenny (who voices SpongeBob on the TV show).”
“He is not dating Ariana Grande. I don’t know if Ethan Slater (who played SpongeBob in the musical) is or isn’t dating Ariana Grande. However, they’re both adorable and I totally ship it. Just wanted to set the record straight.”
“PS: as for me and Tom Kenny, we are celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary today.”

Ethan has been married to singer Lilly Jay, who he shares a son with, since 2018, but they have since separated.
Ariana is set to play Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, while Ethan will star as Bog.
A source told Page Six that Ethan’s estranged wife Lilly was “blindsided” by his rumoured romance with Ariana, adding: “It’s horrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She’s a wreck.”
