The Weeknd and Chantel Jerffries are reportedly just friends despite romance rumours that spread when pictures emerged of the Canadian artist with his arm around Chantel.
The artist who performed at the festival was later seen embracing in PDA with the young model, but a source has told the DailyMail that the two are, “just friends.”
Chantel was the DJ at a Pacsun party during the festival before she headed to the VIP section with The Weeknd.
Chantel has been linked to Justin Bieber in the past, although she told E! News that they’re just “friends.”
She was with him in 2014 when he famously got arrested for a DUI and drag racing.
The Weeknd dated Justin Bieber’s ex Selena Gomez before she left him to return to the Sorry singer.
This hasn’t been the only false rumour about The Weeknd to emerge from the festival. It was also falsely reported that he was seen kissing his ex Bella Hadid.
The model took to Instagram to clear the air. On a post from E! News about the rumour, she wrote, “it wasn’t me,” followed by emojis.
