Van Jones has responded to rumours he dated Kim Kardashian after her divorce from Kanye West.
Kim filed for a divorce from her rapper husband in February of this year and just two months later, she was linked to her longtime friend Van.
Speaking to Page Six, the political commentator admitted he found the dating rumours “absurd”.
He told the publication: “I never made any comments about the rumours of me and Kim Kardashian dating as I found it absurd.”
“It was flattering for me, but it probably wasn’t flattering for her,” Van added.
The 52-year-old split from his wife of 14 years, Jana Carter, in 2019.

Van and Kim have known each other for years, and are both passionate about criminal justice reform.
The pair recently worked together to free a woman who had been jailed for life for a first time drug offence.
Despite their divorce, Kim has been showing her support for her ex-husband Kanye in recent months and just last week, she stepped out on stage at his Donda event in a wedding dress.
Some fans thought the act was the couple’s way of announcing they were back together, while others believed Kimye were publicly renewing their vows.
However, a source told E! News that the couple have no plans to reconcile their romance.
An insider explained: “Kanye asked [Kim] to do something and Kim was happy to do it. She has always supported his work and will continue to do that in the future. She enjoys collaborating with Kanye. They have a bond for life and she wants to be there for him.”
“She knew how much this [event] meant to him and was honored to be involved. The wedding dress was symbolic of their relationship and for the song. It was not a vow renewal. There is still so much love between the two, but they aren’t reconciling.”
Kim and Kanye were married for almost seven years, and they share four children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
