Sydney Sweeney confirms she’s returning ‘home’ to Euphoria as season three begins production

Sydney Sweeney is the first to give a firm confirmation that season 3 of Euphoria will be fast approaching our screens.

The HBO show, that chronicles the lives of various teenagers as they navigate adolescence in a fictional American town, burst onto screens in 2019 and became the second most-watched show just behind Game of Thrones.

In an interview with MTV interviewer Josh Horowitz, the blonde bombshell revealed that she will have no rest breaks between promoting her new horror ‘Immaculate’ and jumping straight onto the iconic set.

Despite her strong statement, the star remained coy by refusing to admit if she has seen any scripts, replyingL “Maybe. I don’t know.”

However, she reiterated that the cast very much feels like a “family,” and gushed that returning to set always feels like returning “home”.

Euphoria catapulted Sweeney into superstardom through her portrayal of the lovable, but messy, Cassie Howard, alongside Zendaya and Maude Apatow.

Season 3 of the show will mark the first time the cast will film together since Angus Cloud’s untimely passing.

This news comes on the heels of fellow cast member Nika King, who played Rue’s mother, revealing her frustration over the long hiatus between seasons, and her dismay at not being able to pay her rent.

Since season two of the show ended, Sydney has found herself booked and busy, staring in box office smash-hit Anyone But You and the much-talked about Madame Webb starring Dakota Johnson.

Most recently, the hardworking actress has been promoting her new horror film Immaculate, in which she plays an American nun who becomes pregnant in an Italian monastery.

Not only does the star headline the film, but she can be credited with its production.

She divulged in an interview with Jimmy Fallon that she initially auditioned for the film when she was fifteen before the film was put on hold.

Ten years later, unable to get the script out of her head, she acquired it as a producer and sold it to NEON.
