Selling Sunset star joins the cast of popular Australian soap

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause is set to appear on the Australian soap Neighbours as a series guest.

The 42-year-old shot to fame on the Netflix reality show, which follows a group of estate agents selling high-end properties in Los Angeles.

Chrishell will play Yasmine ‘Yas’ Shields, a glamorous and successful entrepreneur in pursuit of an exciting new opportunity.

Filming will begin in Australia in July.

Chrishell said: “I am honoured and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show.

“Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry.

“They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street here I come!”

Before she shot to fame on Selling Sunset, Chrishell has starring roles in a number of American soap operas including All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless.

Her role as Jordan Ridgeway in Days of Our Lives landed her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series.

Neighbours follows the lives of residents in Erinsborough, a fictional suburb of Melbourne, Australia.

The long-running soap was cancelled in 2022, but was later revived by streaming site Amazon Freevee and production company Fremantle.

Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison said: “Expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Chrishell to the cast of Neighbours. We created a character especially for her and we can’t wait for her to bring the storyline alive.

“Expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”

Neighbours airs on RTÉ One, RTÉ2, and the RTÉ Player in Ireland.
