Riley Keough secretly welcomed her first child before the death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley

Riley Keough secretly welcomed her first child before the death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley.

Ben Smith-Petersen, who married Riley in 2015, confirmed the news at a memorial service for Lisa Marie at Graceland on Sunday.

He read out a letter from his wife to her late mother, which said in part: “Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.”

“Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity.”

“I’m a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart,” Riley’s letter added.

The letter did not state when Ben and Riley’s daughter was born, or reveal her name.

Lisa Marie, who was the only child of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley, sadly passed away earlier this month at the age of 54 – after she was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas, California.

The singer was laid to rest next to her father and son Benjamin at Graceland’s Meditation Garden on Sunday morning.

Austin Butler, who starred as Elvis Presley in the biopic ‘Elvis’, and Sarah the Duchess of York, who was a close friend of Lisa Marie, were two of the famous faces who attended the memorial service.

In addition to Riley, Lisa Marie was also the mother to twin daughters, Finley and Harper Lockwood, 14, and a son named Benjamin Keough.

Benjamin tragically died by suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.
