Kim Kardashian has been slammed by fans for promoting a ‘diet lollipop’.
On Tuesday, the mother-of-three posted an ad for Flat Tummy Co on Instagram.
Posting a picture of her sucking an “appetite suppressant lollipop”, the reality star wrote, “#ad You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product.”
“They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal. They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! #suckit.”
The lollipops retail at $49 for 60 in the US, and claim to keep “hunger under control and cravings in-check”.
The company’s website also reveals that each lollipop contains 35 calories, and they urge customers to have one “whenever you start to feel hungry”.
Fans were quick to call Kim out for the irresponsible post, which has since been deleted, including TV presenter Jameela Jamil.
Taking to Twitter, Jameela wrote, “No. F**k off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls. I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.”

MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than “I had a flat stomach.” ???? pic.twitter.com/XsBM3aFtAQ

Another wrote, “Times must be tough in the Kardashian’s household.. selling appetite suppressant lollipops.”

As much as I ADORE you Kim, ‘literally unreal’ means nothing in terms of facts to a food suppressant. This is a paid ad, you were given facts in your press release? ???? pic.twitter.com/lK16mEi1cH

Do me a favor? go report Kim Kardashian’s latest IG post. It is promoting toxic habits that can lead to eating disorders. It’s something that shouldn’t be shared especially when she has such a big base of young fans. IDGAF who she is, this was honestly disgusting.

Kim Kardashian once again promoting eating disorder behaviours to her young, female following. A toxic example of what women have been reduced to in our society.
Oh, and btw, you know what else suppresses your appetite? FOOD. If you’re hungry – just EAT FOOD. pic.twitter.com/jpA1UvEiW0

do you have any idea how dangerous it is to promote APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS, you’re literally making money from promoting disordered eating. that’s just sick. please think more carefully about what you promote. stop abusing your platform and start using it for good. @KimKardashian pic.twitter.com/7o0iwX6P0O
