Multiple people have reportedly been injured at a vigil for rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot dead in Los Angeles on Sunday.
It’s believed chaos ensued at the memorial, after people thought they heard the sound of gunshots.
According to reports, firefighters responded to the scene at the corner of Slauson and Crenshaw in South L.A. – and multiple people were reportedly transported to hospitals.

The LAPD tweeted: “Our men and women are on scene and making every effort to protect everyone in attendance at the Nipsey Hussle vigil.”
“Reports of shots fired at the vigil do not appear to be accurate. We do have injured in the chaos and are attempting to restore order.”
The continued, “We understand the community is mourning and we feel your loss. We are asking for everyone to follow the officers directions and disperse from the immediate area.”

Nipsey Hussle sadly passed away on Sunday, after he was shot in the head and torso outside his Hyde Park store.
Police have indicated that they believe the shooting was gang-related, and have identified a potential suspect.
