Meghan Markle’s father ‘threatens to take her to court’ in order to see his grandchildren

Meghan Markle’s father Thomas has threatened to take her and Prince Harry to court in order to see his grandchildren.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are parents to two kids – son Archie, 2, and daughter Lilibet, who was born on June 4.

During a new interview on Fox News, Thomas took aim at Meghan and Harry, and accused them of “bad behaviour”.

Amid reports the couple want their daughter to be baptised in Windsor, the 77-year-old asked for the Queen to allow his granddaughter to be baptised there.

“We shouldn’t be punishing her for Meghan and Harry’s bad behaviour,” he said.

“Archie and Lili are small children. They’re not politics. They’re not pawns.”

“They’re not part of the game. And they’re also royal and entitled to the same rights as any other royal.”

Thomas continued: “Archie and Lili are just sweet little kids, let’s keep it to that.”

“In addition, I will be petitioning the California courts for the right to see my grandchildren in the very near future.”

During an interview with 60 Minutes Australia last month, Meghan’s estranged father admitted he hasn’t spoken to the couple in three years.

Thomas said he learned of Lilibet’s birth on the news, and said: “I’ll be very disappointed that I don’t get to hold my granddaughter.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Meghan’s half brother Thomas Markle Jr will appear on the celebrity version of Big Brother in Australia.

According to Daily Mail Australia, Thomas landed at Sydney Airport on Thursday, before he was placed in mandatory hotel quarantine for 14 days.

Meghan has not spoken to her brother in years, and he was not invited to her royal wedding in 2018.
