Lili Reinhart admits she feels like a ‘prisoner’ returning to work on Riverdale

The actress isn't happy about returning to work amid the coronavirus pandemic

Lili Reinhart has admitted she feels like a “prisoner” returning to work on Riverdale.

During a candid new interview with Nylon, the actress expressed her frustration over filming in Canada amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The cast has been called back to film the last three episodes of season four, and will go right into taping season five – which will start with a seven-year time jump.

Lili said: “I genuinely feel like a prisoner, going back to work, because I cannot leave Canada. That doesn’t feel good.”

“You can’t go home for Thanksgiving, can’t visit your family. No one can come visit you unless they quarantine for two weeks. It just feels f**ked.”

“We stopped during the prom episode, so I have to fit back in that prom dress,” she explained. “Five months later, we’re all going to be tan, maybe a little bit thicker. I certainly am.”

Lili will be returning to work alongside her ex-boyfriend Cole Sprouse, who recently confirmed that they split earlier this year.

In a post shared on Instagram earlier this month, Cole wrote: “Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March.”

“What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love.”

“I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter,” he continued.

“Also her movie comes out soon! I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does. Thanks guys ❤️.”
