Kyle Richards reveals where she stands with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky: ‘I’m not happy’

Kyle Richards has revealed where she stands with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky.

In July, it was reported that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars had split after 27 years of marriage; however, they later revealed they just separated after having a “rough year”.

Earlier this month, the reality star broke down in tears at BravoCon, admitting: “This is not my idea of a fairytale, clearly.”

On Wednesday evening’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the 54-year-old  sat down for lunch with Dorit Kemsley and discussed her recent marriage woes.

Kyle said: “I think a lot of it has to do with us having a harder year, is I expected more from him, from what I was going through, which I know you can understand.”

“Also, probably, you know how he loves to go drink. And does a lot of business events where I’m supposed to go and be a wife and be supportive.”

“I don’t want to go to these parties,” the reality TV star added.

The mother-of-three got emotional during their conversation and confessed: “I think the way my relationship is now I’m not happy.”

Kyle continued: “I’m sort of now working on myself inside. And I feel like he’s very focused on his work. So I feel in that aspect we are growing in different directions.”

The Real Housewives star recently made a swipe at “idiots” who claim she and her husband Mauricio Umansky are faking their marriage problems.

Speaking on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, Kyle said: “What human being would create a story like this for?”

“No offence, [network exec] Alex [Baskin]. I love you and everybody with the show. But who would do that for ratings? Put their family through this,” she explained of claims she and Mauricio are “fabricating” their marital woes.

“That is one of the dumbest things I’ve maybe ever heard in these 13 years.”

“I’m going to pretend that I’m separated and torture my children so that people tune in? I mean, it’s just the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

“I care about being relevant to my friends and family. Yes, I’m on television but I’m good,” Kyle continued. “I’m not looking to be more relevant. I’m good. And I would never put my family through this, ever, for… I almost said it was a dumb TV show, sorry.”

The mom-of-four said the allegations “couldn’t be any different than who I am” as she slammed the “annoying” and “frustrating” claims.

“I also hear a lot of things online that, you know, ‘Oh, well, Kyle and Mauricio, they have an open marriage.'”

“The things that they say, that ‘Kyle is only with him for the money.’ He had no money when I married him, you idiots.”
