Kim Kardashian apologises for boasting about looking ‘anorexic’ on Instagram

The reality star sparked serious backlash

Kim Kardashian has apologised for controversial comments she made about her weight on Instagram a few months ago.

Back in July, the mother-of-three sparked serious backlash after she gushed about looking “anorexic” on her Instagram Story.

In the posts, Kim’s famous sisters Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian told Kim how skinny she looked, and said they were concerned she wasn’t “eating”.

Flaunting her physique, Kim then told her followers that she was down to 119lbs.

Naturally, the KUWTK star’s comments were met with a wave of criticism, and many accused her of glorifying anorexia.

Addressing the negativity for the first time on Ashley Graham’s podcast Pretty Big Deal, Kim confessed: “Looking back, having said that, I 100% completely understand where people are coming from.”

“My intention is never to offend anyone and I apologise if I did that,” she continued. “I know people who have serious eating disorders who have been in and out of the hospital for 15 years.

“Close people. I’ve experienced it enough to know better. When our sisters are laughing and joking… sometimes you can get carried away and just, it was insensitive,” she added.
