Kim Kardashian and family are ‘shielding’ her kids from Kanye West’s ‘public meltdown’

The reality star wants to protect her four children

Kim Kardashian and her family are working hard to “shield” her kids from Kanye West’s “public meltdown”.

On Monday, the mother-of-four was pictured crying as she reunited with her husband in Wyoming – just days after he attacked Kim and her mother Kris Jenner on Twitter.

A source has since told PEOPLE that Kim is adamant about protecting her kids from the scandal.

“She is shielding the kids. All of her family is. They’ve circled around the kids and are insulating them from all of this,” the insider said.

“And everyone else has decided to create an atmosphere of normalcy around them.”

“They don’t need to see such a public meltdown,” they added.

Over the past week, Kim’s eldest children North, 7, and Saint, 4, have been pictured spending time with their aunt Kourtney Kardashian.

Kim finally reunited with Kanye on Monday, after the rapper shared a public apology begging for her forgiveness on Twitter.

As previously reported, Kim had been trying to fly out to Wyoming ever since Kanye sparked concern at his presidential rally in Charleston, South Carolina last week.

During the controversial rally, the rapper broke down as he spoke about almost aborting their now-seven-year-old daughter North.

Since the rally, Kanye has posted a number of shocking statements on Twitter, and he even accused Kim of trying to get him “locked up” – amid fears he’s in the middle of a bipolar episode.

The rapper also claimed he’s been “trying to get divorced” from Kim ever since she met Meek Mill back in 2018 to discuss prison reform, and he also appeared to slam his mother-in-law Kris Jenner.

Kanye later deleted the tweets, and a few hours later Kim released a statement addressing her husband’s recent behaviour.

In a statement posted on her Instagram Story, Kim acknowledged that Kanye is in the middle of a serious bipolar episode, and asked the public to show them “compassion” during such a difficult time.

Around the same time Kim shared her statement, TMZ reported that Kanye was “refusing” to see her.

But days later, the 43-year-old seemed to change his tune as he posted a public apology to Kim on Twitter.

He wrote: “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter.”

“I did not cover her like she has covered me.To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me,” he added.

Kanye and Kim tied the knot back in 2014, and the couple share four kids – North, 7, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 14 months.
