Prince Harry had a secret Instagram while dating Meghan Markle, according to a new biography.

A new excerpt from the upcoming book ‘Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family’ was published in The Times this week – and details the early stages of their relationship.

According to the book’s authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Meghan began following the account @SpikeyMau5 on Instagram shortly after their first date – and they believe it belonged to Harry.

The username combined his nickname “Spike” with one of his favorite DJs, Deadmau5.

Around that same time, Meghan had posted a photo of a candy heart with the words “Kiss Me” on it, alongside the caption “Lovehearts in #London.”

Meghan and Harry’s first date took place at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse in London, where they chatted over drinks for nearly three hours.

A friend told the authors: “Almost immediately they were almost obsessed with each other. It was as if Harry was in a trance.”

In fact, their date went so well that they returned to the same spot for dinner the following night.

The friend added: “Harry knew they would be together at that point. She was ticking every box.”

According to the book, Harry and Meghan met again the following night, but this time the actress met the Prince at his cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace.

Six weeks later, Harry whisked her off on a romantic trip to Botswana – and the rest is history.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have denied being involved with the book, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand have written the biography “with the participation of those closest to the couple”.

The book will shed light on their departure from the Royal Family, and the events that led to them stepping down from their roles at the end of March.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry previously said in a statement, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom.”

“This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”

During the latest episode of #GossChats, social media star and TV presenter James Patrice addresses the recent cancellation of Dancing With The Stars, being single during lockdown and creating viral hits with his family.

Goss Chats is sponsored by top aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve.
