Jeff Bridges shares hopeful health update following lymphoma diagnosis

Jeff Bridges has shared a hopeful health update following his lymphoma diagnosis.

The Hollywood actor revealed his diagnosis back in October, admitting the prognosis was “good” at the time.

As he celebrated his 71st birthday last month, the father-of-three shared that he had shaved his head and was “feeling good”.

In a new message posted to his official website, Jeff revealed his treatment was “working beautifully”, and that his tumour had “drastically shrunk”.

The Oscar-winning actor wrote: “I go in for a CAT scan to see if my new protocol is shrinking my tumour. Turns out it’s working beautifully.

“The thing has drastically shrunk. I came home elated with the news,” he added.

Sharing the news of his diagnosis at the time, the actor made reference to his role in the cult classic film ‘The Big Lebowski’, writing: “As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light.”

“I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.”

“I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery,” he continued.

“I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.”

Weeks later, Jeff shared another update on his website, writing: “This cancer thing is bringing on feelings of precociousness & gratitude & good old fashion [sic] love & lots of it, big time.”

“I’m feeling so much of it comin’ my way, & man I appreciate it. It’s contagious, all this love, like some kind of positive virus.”

“I want to acknowledge & thank you guys for reaching out during this time. It feels good, getting all the well wishes & love!”

“This cancer is making me appreciate my mortality, appreciate impermanence. I’m realizing if I have sh*t to share, now’s the time,” he added.
