Halyna Hutchins’ husband breaks his silence on her tragic death on set of Alec Baldwin film

Halyna Hutchins’ husband Matthew has broken his silence on her tragic death.

The cinematographer was killed on Thursday, after actor Alec Baldwin accidentally misfired a prop gun on the set of his new movie ‘Rust’ in New Mexico.

Taking to Twitter on Friday night, Halyna’s devastated husband posted a photo of his late wife and their eight-year-old son Andros.

He wrote: “Halyna inspired us all with her passion and vision, and her legacy is too meaningful to encapsulate in words.”

“Our loss is enormous, and we ask that the media please respect my family’s privacy as we process our grief. We thank everyone for sharing images and stories of her life.”

In a statement on Friday, Alec said he had been in touch with Halyna’s husband.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.”

“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family.”

“My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,” he added.

Halyna was pronounced dead on Thursday, after Alec accidentally misfired a prop gun on the set of his new movie ‘Rust’ in New Mexico.

According to a press release shared by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, the actor “discharged” a prop firearm on set, which also injured the film’s director Joel Souza.
