Pierce Brosnan has revealed his career highlight as he received a prestigious award.
The Irish actor made the comments on the green carpet of the Oscar Wilde party where he was being honoured.
The 70-year-old was joined on the carpet by his wife of 30 years Keely Shaye Smith.

Speaking to Goss.ie on the green carpet at The Oscar Wilde Party, Pierce said: ” There’s many, being with Keely has been the highlight of my life in moments like this.”
“New York, Radio City, doing Golden Eye, James Bond, you know we have grown up together into this fantasy world and beautiful world of James Bond.”
“Our love and life is very much connected to that role,” the romantic gushed.
Pierce also commented on the rumours that Cillian Murphy is set to play the next James Bond and said: “I think Cillian could definitely fill the shoes.”
However, Cillian shut down the rumours on the green carpet last night and confessed: “I think I’m a bit old for that.”
“I think that ship has sailed.”

The 47-year-old also gushed about former Bond, Pierce Brosnan and admitted he has looked up to him ever since his days on Remington Steele.
The Cork native is also the favourite to win Best Actor at this year’s Academy Awards in Hollywood.
