Melissa Joan Hart thinks Sabrina the Teenage Witch would be very different if the show was made today.
The actress chatted to LAGoss.com at the Lupus LA Orange Ball, where she revealed the character would be a lot sexier if the series came out now.
“Oh, well she’d be really sexy,” she told us. “Short skirts, lots of makeup, fancy hairdos – looking like a Kardashian, I’m sure!
“These days they’re always sexing things up, so I feel like Sabrina would [be sexier]. I even saw an Archie Comic yesterday that had Sabrina in it, and of course she’s all leggy and has funky new hair and all kinds of stuff.”
Melissa also told us that she thinks Sabrina would probably be “married with a few kids, hiding out somewhere in a wooded area of Massachusetts” today.
And the 41-year-old, who starred as the teen witch on the hit show from 1996 to 2003, discussed what it would take for her to agree to a reboot.
Melissa has long been a supporter of Lupus LA and was at the Orange Ball to present the Loop Award to her “dear friend” and the organisation’s chairman Adam Selkowitz.
“This is an event I’ve been coming to for a really long time, I’m not even sure how many years now,” she told us, explaining that it’s a cause close to her heart because of Adam and her friends Kelly Martin and Howie Dorough from the Backstreet Boys, who both lost their sisters to the autoimmune disease.
“I have so many sisters that it became something that I wanted to try to do the best I could to help protect them in the future and the next generation.”
Melissa added: “It’s something that often gets misdiagnosed and people don’t know a lot about, and so I really think it’s time to open their eyes and help them know, so that when they go to their doctor with certain symptoms they can ask.”
