Eminem fans were left terrified after the rapper appeared to play gunshot sound effects during a recent concert.

The father of one was joined by fans at his Bonnaroo show, when a number of concert goers ducked and dropped to floor after fearing they were being attacked.

“I hate to be the one to say it,” one fan tweeted, “But being someone who suffers from very mild PTSD, it was EXTREMELY irresponsible and distasteful to end songs w the shot gun sound effect.

They continued, “I have grown up loving Eminem and his music but I was extremely triggered to the point of tears.”

Fans took to Twitter to express how scared they were during the concert.

“Had to leave @Eminem set after 3rd gunshot at @Bonnaroo cuz panic was setting in my section (front pit), extremely realistic &scary! Would have been good to have a warning before show. #irresponsible,” Andrea Russett said.

“My night was awesome but now I’m in absolute tears and shaking because I thought the multiple gunshots from his performance from across Centeroo were real. This is not OK,” added another fan.

Accoring to E! News, a rep for Eminem gave the following statement, “Contrary to inaccurate reports, Eminem does not use gunshot sound effects during his live show.”

“The effect used by Eminem in his set at Bonnaroo was a pyrotechnic concussion creates a loud boom. He has used this effect—as have hundreds other artists—in his live show for over 10 years, including previous US festival dates in 2018 without complaint.”
