Britney Spears slams her family amid conservatorship battle

Britney Spears has slammed her family amid her conservatorship battle.

The 39-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to share details of her 13 year conservatorship, which she previously branded “abusive”, claiming she had “no car”, “no phone”, and “no door for privacy”.

Alongside a snap of an ethereal painting, the popstar wrote: “This picture is everything to me !!! It makes me want to cry … she’s saving her divine feminine sister 🧜🏻‍♀️ !!!!”

“I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there !!!!!” the singer added.

“If you’re like my family who says things like ‘sorry, you’re in a conservatorship’ … probably thinking you’re different so they can f*** with you !!!!”

Praising her new lawyer, Britney concluded the post by writing: “Thankfully I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life 🌹!!!!”

Last week, Britney’s father Jamie was suspended from her conservatorship, 13 years after it was established.

Britney officially filed a petition to replace her father Jamie as the conservator of her estate in July.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Britney’s estate is worth $57.4 million – which includes $2.7 million in cash assets, and $54.7 million in non-cash assets.

The Toxic singer was placed under a conservatorship after she suffered an alleged breakdown in 2008.

A conservatorship is granted to those who are incapable of making decisions, such as people with mental disabilities.

The arrangement put her estate, financial assets, and some personal assets under the control of her father Jamie, and lawyer Andrew Wallet – who has since resigned from the role.

The Grammy winner’s conservatorship has been under review since 2019 after she accused her father of forcing her to enter a mental health facility.
