The ‘latte makeup’ beauty trend is all over our TikTok FYPs right now.
The term was coined by content creator Rachel Rigler, and the hashtag #lattemakeup has now got more than 20.6million views on the social media platform.
In a now-viral video, Rachel explained: “We’re gonna call this ‘latte makeup’. It’s warm and bronzy, milky and effortless.”

Rachel then gave a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve the “minimal coverage” look.
She began by putting a pump of tinted moisturiser on her face, avoiding her nose to show off her freckles.
THe beauty and lifestyle influencer explained: “When you avoid makeup on your nose it gives off the illusion that you’re not wearing as much makeup as you are.”

Rachel then applied a dark brown liquid eyeshadow to her eyelids, and blended it into her brow bones.
Next up, she blended a warmer brown shadow in her crease, and then added a gold shimmery colour onto her lids.
Returning to her face, the TikToker used a cream bronzer to contour, concealed her under eyes and T-zone, and then set her face with a powder.
She said: “There is no blush. No colour involved in latte makeup, just bronzer.”

Rachel went over her cream bronzer with a powder bronzer, and then applied a brown eyeliner under her eyes and in her water line.
Then, she applied a dark brown eyeshadow to her lash line, added some mascara, lined her lips with a nude liner and finally, she added a clear gloss.
So there you have it! As makeup artist Tanielle Jai explains, latte makeup is “just bronzed makeup using caramel tones”.
