Yikes! The Rubberbandits are not happy with The RTÉ Guide

The Rubberbandits are not too happy with the people behind the RTÉ Guide, as they got the name of their new documentary COMPLETELY wrong.

The hilarious Limerick duo made a documentary about the Easter Rising earlier this year, called The Rubberbandits Guide To 1916, which will air in a headline slot on RTE Two on New Year’s Eve.

Despite the documentary being selected as the Show of the Day on NYE, the RTÉ Guide included the show in their programme – but under a totally different name!

Taking to Facebook to point out the blunder, the duo joked that the guide has “invented a show that doesn’t exist”.

Fair play to the RTE guide, who not only got the name of our Documentary wrong, but also invented a show that doesn’t…

Despite the mistake, The Rubberbandits’ documentary was first announced back in September as a big part of the RTÉ’s commitment to original Irish-made shows for their new season.

Thankfully it’s not all bad as the typo only appears in the listings pages of the Christmas RTE Guide, and the programme is correctly named in the ‘highlights’ section on another page.

As always, The Rubberbandits handled the situation hilariously and we’re sure the people behind the RTÉ Guide were left a little red-faced!

Catch The Rubberbandits Guide To 1916 on RTÉ 2 this NYE at 11pm.
